The exciting video game “Star Wars: Empire at War” takes place in the famous Star Wars world. But sometimes, the challenges can be tough, and that’s where cheat codes come to the rescue. Cheat codes are like secret keys that unlock special powers, resources, and abilities in the game.
With cheat codes, you can gain an advantage, like extra money to build a massive army, powerful ships, or even invincibility to protect your units in battle. They make the game easier and more fun, allowing you to explore the Star Wars galaxy and face the Empire or Rebellion with confidence.
Whether you’re a Jedi Master or just starting your Star Wars gaming journey, cheat codes can be your trusty allies, helping you progress and enjoy the game even more. So, let’s dive into the galaxy far, far away and find out some empire at war cheats.
Cheat Codes
When you’re playing the game, you can bring up a special window by pressing the ~ key or [Shift] + [Tab]. In that window, you can type in certain codes, and when you press the Enter key, it will activate different cheat functions to help you in the game.
Result | Cheat Code |
Spawn Boba Fett | CHEAT_Empire_Spawn_Fett |
Spawn Colonel Veers | CHEAT_Empire_Spawn_Veers |
Spawn Darth Vader | CHEAT_Empire_Spawn_Vader |
Spawn The Emperor | CHEAT_Empire_Spawn_Emperor |
Custom Ship Names
This procedure involves making changes to game files, so it’s a good idea to create a backup copy of these files before you start. You’ll need to use a text editor program to make changes to ‘.txt’ files that belong to different ships in the ‘lucasarts/star wars empire at war/gamedata/data’ directory. For example, you might have files like ‘acclamator_assault_ship.txt’, ‘broadside_class_cruiser.txt’, ‘alliance_assault_frigate.txt’, and so on.
When you open these files with a text editor, you can add a name to each of them. The name you add will show up in the game once you’ve reached the right place in the ship list.
Easy Money
First, take control of all planets except for the one you need for your mission. Then, strengthen the planets near your mission planet to protect it. Speed up the game and let it play by itself. Keep an eye on it to make sure you’re not under attack. After some time, check how much money you have. If you’re happy with it, go back to regular play and finish your mission. If not, just wait and let your money grow.
Recommended Empire Space Fleet
Build as many Victory Star Destroyers and Accumulator Assault Ships as you can afford to take over space. You can also add in some Imperial Star Destroyers and maybe an Interdictor Star Destroyer.
After getting your space fleet in order, shift your attention to your ground troops. You might have to wait a bit to gather more resources due to your space forces, but once you have enough, purchase infantry units like Storm Troopers or Scout Troopers, and a few tanks. This strategy is also effective in Galactic Conquest mode.
Recommended Rebel Space Fleet
Build X-Wing spaceships and Infantry Platoons or Plex Soldiers in as many places as you can. X-Wings are great for space battles because they can shoot very fast and easily destroy enemy ships.
Once you win the space battle, use your ground forces to take control of the land. It’s a good idea to also have some T2-B Tank squads. Use the Plex Soldiers to defend, and your Infantry Platoons to do the rest of the work. This strategy should help you win battles quickly, and it can also work in Galactic Conquest.
Secret – When Battling on the Campaign
Make sure your space fleet is really powerful because there’s a crucial moment in the fight against the rebels where you need a very strong fleet. I once had a strong fleet, but it wasn’t nearly as strong as it should have been. The Empire has big, powerful Star Destroyers and lots of smaller ships, and there are a whole bunch of them.
Rebel Artillary on Alderan
In a quick skirmish battle on Alderaan, there’s a valley connecting the two teams. You want to use 1-3 sets of artillery units, like rebels who fire rockets. Place most or all of your artillery on the cliffs on each side of the valley. Put your spotter droids in the middle to help you see the enemy. You can also place soldiers and other vehicles in the middle for better visibility.
Once you’ve secured the area, move most or all of your troops to the base on the other side of the valley. When you have enough money, launch an attack on their base, but be aware they’ll have a shield generator. To destroy it, use Y-wing bombers. Your artillery can also help destroy their buildings. Keep your artillery units far away so they can take out enemy threats before they get close.
Remember, rebel artillery is effective on most land maps.
Easy Death Star Use
In the Galactic Conquest, when you’re playing as the Empire and you have the Death Star in a fleet all by itself, you can use a trick. If you bring the Death Star close to a Rebel or neutral planet and choose to “Auto-Resolve” when a battle starts, you’ll usually win without losing much except for the enemy Space Station.
After the battle, move the Death Star to the “Destroy Planet” option on the map, and the planet will be destroyed instantly. You won’t need to fight a ground or space battle to get rid of the Rebel forces around the planet.
However, be careful not to do this on a planet where Red Squadron is, or you’ll lose the game. And remember, this trick doesn’t work on the planet Bespin because it’s immune to the Death Star’s super-laser.
